On a recent visit to Nomiya Shrine in Kyoto I found these Meiko or probationary Geisha making a visit to the shrine before becoming full Geisha. This painting has been created using only professional grade acrylics on a sheet of un-stretched canvas and has been given a thin coat of art varnish for surface protection and durability.
