Grand Banks
Before the dawn arrives the fishermen are in theirs boats and work has begun on the Grand Banks on the search for Cod. I come from the island of Newfoundland and these dories are the boats used by the fishermen of the inshore fishery to catch cod by handlines. It is back breaking work but what a beautiful place to work.    This seascape has been painted using professional grade acrylics on real canvas. The size is 16X20 inches/ 40X50 centimeters. The surface of the painting has been protected with a coat of artists varnish.
